Welcome to my website of original wildlife woodburning art (pyrography). All line-work and shading is done by burning the wood with hand held tools. There is no other color applied to the woodburning except for some white for eagle heads etc. The wood used is mostly birch, aspen, pine, and maple grown in the central and the north woods of Wisconsin. The slabs with bark are cut and dried by myself to ensure that they are of the correct moisture content to prevent cracking. Several coats of lacquer are applied to protect the woodburning  from humidity changes and UV light.
